Ashgabat, 9 October, 2025 - United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) office in Turkmenistan held a consultative meeting with the medical specialists of the Ministry of Health and Medical Industry of Turkmenistan on the HPV vaccination for adults by International Consultant Dr. Nataliya Mozharova.

In 2025, the Ministry of Health and Medical Industry of Turkmenistan updated its order on HPV vaccination. According to the new regulations, catch-up vaccinations will be provided to individuals aged 19-25, and the dosage will be shifted from two doses to one. Dr. Mozharova shared best world practices regarding adult vaccination during her visit.

Later the same day, UNFPA International Consultant Dr. Madona Jugeli held the practical part of the IARC-IFCPC Colposcopy training for medical specialists at the International Education and Science Center.

During their visits to Ashgabat between 9 to 12 October, both Dr. Mozharova and Dr. Jugeli attended the International Exhibition and Scientific Conference “Healthcare, Education and Sports in the Renaissance Era of a new epoch of a powerful state.” 

Dr. Nataliya Mozharova is an Associate Director Medical Affairs, Strategic Alliances Lead Eastern Europe, Middle East & Africa Medical Affairs Center of Execution at pharmaceutical company Merck Sharp & Dohme IDEA Middle East. 

Dr. Madona Jugeli is a gynaecologist from Georgia with over 30 years of work experience. Since 2016 she is the Head of cervical pathology prevention and treatment department at JSC “Vian”, President of the Georgian Colposcopy Federation.
