Family planning as an important component of reproductive health is not only women's concern, but also men's concern as partners and spouses. Family planning is a basic human right and married couples should jointly and freely make responsible decisions on when and how many children to have, and have access to the information and services to exercise this right. In simple words, “Having children should be a matter of choice, not chance!"
UNFPA prepared a "What should a man know about Family Planning?" series consisting of the information about family planning, pregnancy, infertility, condoms and sexually transmitted infections, including HIV.
