Youth friendly services promoted through Yashlyk TV Show
YASHLYK TV Channel in Turkmenistan featured a Round-table dedicated to the Health Week in Turkmenistan with participation of the Chairman of the Youth Union named after Magtymguly (YU), representative of the UNFPA, United Nations Population Fund, and Turkmen students.
During the show, the importance of the youth-friendly information and services for the adolescents in the country was highlighted. UNFPA representative spoke about the work of the Youth centers, which were recently launched in Ashgabat and Mary within the framework of the YU and UNFPA cooperation, with support of John Snow Institute. The role of the peer-to-peer education in advocating the healthy lifestyle, including adolescent reproductive health, was noted. Additionally, the Teens Hotlines, supported by the Ministry of Health and Medical Industry and UNFPA, were promoted.
