UNFPA, the United Nations Population Fund and volunteers of the Y-PEER network organized youth consultations for development of the new UNFPA Country Programme. Main objectives of the consultations were to discuss major factors influencing the reproductive health of adolescents, especially regarding their access and utilization of services.

Youth Forum on the results of the Leadership Academy and Innovation Lab brought the voices of young people from all across Turkmenistan into the discussions on ecology, health, education and inclusiveness. More than 40 most active participants of the Leadership Academy held a few months ago gathered in the capital today to engage in youth-adult dialogue with high-level policy decision makers at the Conference hall of the Yyldyz Hotel.

UNFPA Turkmenistan kick-started its Leadership Academy and Innovation Lab today.
The Academy will work for four days to reload local youth mindset, build leadership skills and encourage civic responsibility and social innovation.
More than 40 young school pupils, young professionals, university students, as well as the at-risk youth gathered together to learn, discuss, debate and then generate an idea or product to pitch on final day of the Lab. #MinEdu #YouthOrg #BritishEmbassy in Ashgabat

Every young person in every part of the world has the right to health, education and information, including sexual and reproductive health.
Young people in Turkmenistan receive reproductive health education at secondary schools, and UNFPA continues to work with the Ministry of Education to ensure that the focus of the education is on building life skills.
